Appointments

Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty six days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as accidental ingestion of rat poison, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Services

Dental Services

Bad breath is produced by the accumulation of bacteria in the mouth. Bacteria=gingivitis and tartar=calculus=gum recession=tooth loss.

Dental disease IS PREVENTABLE. Dental disease CAUSES PAIN AND DISCOMFORT.

Wellness Services Package

Our Wellness Program embraces a focus on preventative medicine based on the specific life-stage of your pet.  We offer recommendations for prevention, nutrition, and diagnostic work-ups appropriate for your pet.

Weight Management

We offer several different solutions for overweight pets.  You as an owner play an important part in the success of weight management, and are encouraged and welcome to obtain complimentary nutritional counseling from our staff.

Pain Management

The lack of obvious signs does not mean your pet isn't experiencing pain. If the injury, illness or experience is one that sounds painful to you, go with the assumption that it may also hurt your pet. If concerned, please phone the office so we can book an appointment.

Parasite Counseling

Most of our pets are infected at some point in their lifetimes with parasites, and there is a real risk that they could be transmitted to children and pregnant women. It is important that parents and veterinarians have awareness of this fact of nature and make the effort to protect our families accordingly.

Senior Pet Care

As your pet ages, his body organs will not function as efficiently as they used to and his immune system will lose some of its effectiveness. As a result, our older pets are prone to get ill more often, as well as suffer from many more aches and pains.

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is an FDA-cleared treatment modality that reduces inflammation which leads to pain reduction treating acute pain, chronic conditions and post-operative pain. Laser therapy is safe and painless.  Typically, chronically effected patients exhibit improvement in 3-6 treatment sessions.

Nutrition Counseling

We recommend diets with an emphasis on nutrients rather than ingredients.  We here at Head to Tail would be glad to help you choose the right diet & formulation for your pet, all essential to the health and well being of your cat or dog.
